Each Sunday morning there are all kinds of teams working together behind the scenes to make everything happen. Being on a team is a great way to contribute to the life of our church, as well as a fantastic opportunity to connect with others and maybe even learn some new skills.
If you’re interested in finding out more about joining one of our Sunday morning teams then we’d love you to click on the link below and send us your info.
PLEASE NOTE – All children’s team volunteers will need to complete an enhanced disclosure via Access NI, plus attend a safeguarding training evening.
The AV Team work behind the scenes to support everything that’s going on up front. The Team is responsible for the sound, lighting and visuals for all aspects of our Sunday meetings. The worship, teaching and ministry are all dependant on the AV Team to run smoothly and without distraction. Main responsibilities are on Sundays but there are other events in the church and community calendar where the AV Team are in high demand and volunteers are always appreciated – weddings, funerals, Christmas Parties etc. Training will be given so if you have an interest in being part of this team please get in touch!
Building Maintenance Team
As part of creating a welcoming space on a Sunday and during the week, we want to make sure the building is safe and that any problems are quickly fixed.
Bob Davey and Peter Johnston oversee a maintenance team of people who help with various jobs around the building. If you have practical skills and would like to get involved then we’d love to hear from you.
Hospitality Team
At the end of each Sunday meeting we enjoy time together to meet, chat and enjoy tea and coffee. This is made possible by our hospitality team who are hard at work behind the scenes topping up coffee machines, filling flasks with tea and making sure its all done swiftly and safely.
This team is normally on rota once a month.

Setup Team
When everyone arrives on Sunday mornings it’s really important to us that they arrive to a safe and welcoming space that is ready to accomodate them. The set up team arrive from 9.30am to prepare the hall and the building, arrange the seating and make the
space ready for our Church family.
Help will also be needed for a short time at the end of the morning service.
The Friends Group Team
The Friends Group is our group for people with intellectual disabilities , their carers and friends.
The group meets fortnightly in Kings Church building and provides opportunity for friendship and sharing Jesus through worship, Bible study and craft activities.
Welcome Team
The Welcome team are the first point of contact that people have when they come to Kings. They are positioned at the front entrance to be a friendly face and a point of information as people arrive on a Sunday morning – they welcome visitors, give help where needed and love meeting new people!
The commitment on this team is normally every 6 weeks or so.
Worship Team
Worship through music is a key part of our Sunday mornings and we have a fairly large worship team – but we would love to meet and encourage anyone with a heart for worship who would like to be involved in leading the congregation in worship on a Sunday. There are opportunities for singers, guitarists, drums, keys and more so please get in touch if you have a gift you’d like to serve with. There is also opportunity to learn from others on the team so even if you’re not very confident but you know you have a musical gift, we’d love to get to know you.
